Work Cam - Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 15, 2026
Work Cam is an Android app made by TwS Solutions ("we", "us"). It lets you take photos, or pick photos from your gallery, and upload them to your own OneDrive or Google Drive, filed into folders by job and location. This policy explains what the app does with your information.
The short version
- Your photos go from your phone straight to your own OneDrive or Google Drive account.
- TwS Solutions does not receive, collect or store your photos, your location, or your account details. We run no servers for this app.
- The app has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and we do not sell or share your information.
What the app accesses, and why
- Photos you take or choose. Photos taken with your phone's camera app, or selected with Android's photo picker, are copied into the app's private storage and uploaded to the cloud account you signed in with. Once an upload succeeds, the app's temporary copy is deleted. If you discard a photo before uploading, it is deleted. Your original gallery photos are never changed or removed. The app does not add or remove metadata in your photos.
- Location. If you allow it, the app reads your device's location when you take a photo, only to name the folder (for example, the town name). The place name is looked up with the location service built into your device, which is usually provided by Google and may send coordinates to that service. The app does not store your location. If no place name is found, the folder may be named with rounded coordinates. For gallery photos, the app reads location from the photo's own metadata if it is present. You can deny the location permission and still use the app by typing a folder name yourself.
- Your Microsoft or Google account. When you sign in, you enter your password on Microsoft's or Google's own sign-in page, never in our app. The app receives a permission token from them. It keeps your account email (so it can show who is connected) and the sign-in token on your device only.
- Folder and job names. The app lists the folders that already exist inside the "Work Cam" folder in your drive so you can pick a job, and it remembers your recent job names on your device.
- Notifications. If you allow it, the app shows a notification when an upload has finished.
Where your data goes
Photos and folder names are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection only to the service you chose:
- OneDrive through Microsoft Graph, using the Files.ReadWrite permission. The app only writes to, and lists folders inside, a folder named "Work Cam".
- Google Drive through the Google Drive API, using the narrow drive.file permission, which lets the app see only files and folders it created.
Once your data is in your own Microsoft or Google account, it is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy: Microsoft Privacy Statement and Google Privacy Policy. If you use a work or school account, your organization's administrator may be able to see and manage the files you upload.
Google user data
Work Cam's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Permissions the app requests
- Internet - to upload to your drive.
- Location (precise and approximate) - only while the app is in use, to name folders.
- Notifications - to tell you when an upload is complete.
The app does not request camera or storage permissions. It uses your phone's own camera app and Android's photo picker.
Keeping and deleting your data
- Photos you upload stay in your own drive until you delete them there. We cannot see or delete them.
- Tap Sign out / switch drive in the app to disconnect your account. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your device.
- To withdraw the app's access to your drive, remove it from your account's app permissions: Microsoft personal accounts, Microsoft work or school accounts, or Google accounts.
Children
Work Cam is a tool for work and is not directed at children under 13.
Information from Google Play
If you install the app from Google Play, Google may share anonymous crash and performance statistics with us through the Play Console. These do not contain your photos, location or account details.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and the effective date above.
